Hello! I’m so excited for this post and I hope it will be helpful for a lot of you. DM organizes a Beauty Academy for the fourth year and I have the pleasure of being included in this initiative for the second time!
The period of the campaign is going to be from 19th April to 2nd May. You have 2 weeks to take advantage of the great deals DM offers. You can get your DM journal here.
The campaign consists of 8 events in 5 cities in Bulgaria: Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, Varna and Ruse. During the events there are going to be makeup sessions. You can participate with an advance signup (1 hour before the beginning of each event). There’s going to be a game on a special online platform as a part of the campaign where you can win a Beauty Academy Box.
As always you can benefit a discount. This year it’s going to be up to 40% off from selected makeup brands: Bourjois, Maybelline, Rimmel, Alverde, Nivea, L’Oreal, Max Factor, Ebelin, Trend it up, S-he and #me.
I’m moving to the first impressions/mini reviews of the products I received in my box. I’m testing them for 2 weeks now and I hope my opinion is going to be helpful for some of you.
Nivea MicellAIR skin breathe micellar water (4.70 EUR regular price/3.30 EUR on sale)
It’s a great option as a budget micellar water. I’m currently testing this one and the Garnier one (pink package) and both of them are great and remove the makeup completely with 2 cotton pads. There’s no skin irritation, redness or any other discomfort.
Nivea soft cotton pads (80 pads – 1.50 EUR/1.00 EUR)
I have never tried cotton pads so soft! Until now I’ve used such a product from Kaufland and Jumbo and these ones are far away from them in a very positive way. I totally recommend them! Probably this is the product I’m the most fascinated by! Bear in mind that the other products are great, too.
Ebelin makeup sponge (regular price – around 2.50 EUR)
I have such a sponge from Aliexpress and this one does the same job. I don’t find any difference, except the mint color, which I adore 🙂 If you want the cheapest version, go for the Aliexpress one. But if you’re afraid to shop online or you don’t want to wait 2 weeks or more, go for this one.
Bourjois Healthy mix BB cream 02 medium (10.00 EUR/6.00 EUR)
I’m a huge fan of the powder from this series and I love it. When I received the BB cream in the second shade I thought it would be dark for me, but it blends perfectly with my skin. And by perfectly, I mean perfectly! I don’t look orange at all and it feels like I have nothing on my face. I’m impressed by the fact that it gives a soft and smooth feeling to my skin.
Max Factor Facefinity compact foundation 003 Natural (regular price 9-11 EUR)
I’m impressed by this compact foundation. I thought that the color is going to be dark for me but it’s great! It mattifies my skin and gives me just a tiny amount of color for my pale skin. It’s a great base for the powder products you would put on after it.
Maybelline Total Temptation mascara (8.50 EUR/5.00 EUR)
Another great Maybelline mascara. It gives volume and length to my eyelashes. And the scent is amazing! It’s results reminds me of L’Oreal False Lash Wings Intenza mascara.
Alverde liquid eyeliner (around 3.00 EUR)
This product is my disappointment from all the products. The tip is round, something I’ve never seen before, it’s easy to work with it. And here comes my problem with the product: it erases so easily. I have the habit to rub my eyes. I did it once and half of the product was on my fingers, the other half smudged on my face. A total No-buy for me.
Bourjois Rouge Velvet the lipstick 08 Rubi’s cute (10.70 EUR/6.45 EUR)
With a bullet shape like this you apply the lipstick so easily. The color is very opaque and with one swipe you get the desired color/intensity. This lipstick is the long lasting one I’ve tried: 7+ hours, which is insane! It dries my lips a little bit, but nothing to worry about.
Rimmel Rita Ora collection nail polish 905 Girl in grey (1.95 EUR/1.15 EUR)
Rimmel nail polishes are one of my favorites. They last 7 days on my nails with just a little bit of peeling on the ends. They have a big flat brush which lets me apply the nail polish with a few movements. The color is very dark grey, almost black. It’s very opaque and you can go with just one thick layer. You can see it in action in my new video.
Did any of the products grab your attention?
Stay tuned for the full reviews of the products!
I’d like to thank DM for making me a part of the initiative DM Beauty Academy for the second year!
